Jay Roach (born 1957 in Albuquerque, New Mexico) is a film director and producer whose credits include the Austin Powers movies, and the hit comedies Meet the Parents and Meet the Fockers starring Robert DeNiro and Ben Stiller.
In 1994, he co-wrote with John Rice and Joe Batteer the film Blown Away starring Jeff Bridges and Tommy Lee Jones.
He produced a 2005 movie based on Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy novel.
He is married to Susanna Hoffs, of The Bangles fame.
He is good friends with directors Alexander Payne, Spile Jonze, and David Russell.
