Sir Maurice Joseph Micklewhite (born March 14, 1933), known professionally as Michael Caine, is a two-time Academy Award-winning English film actor and has been acting from 1950 to 2023.

In 2000, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth ll in recognition of his contribution to cinema.
He was married to Patricia Haines (1955-1962) then divorced her. He is now married to Shakira Baksh since 1973. He has two children: Dominique (born 1956) with Patricia, and Natasha (born 1973) with Shakira.
In 2023, he announced his retirement from acting.
