Mrs. Joan Powers was the wife of Nigel Powers and the mother of Austin Powers and Dr. Evil. She was later killed in an assassination attempt. She was played by Kinga Philipps.
History
In the early 1940s, Mrs. Powers with her husband Nigel and infant sons Austin and Douglas were taking a drive. Nigel then had to urinate and left his wife and sons in the car. Mrs. Powers turned the radio, which then made the car explode and kill her in the process. Her sons both survived with Austin being in the care of his father, and Dr. Evil being adopted by a Belgian farmer and his 15-year-old female sex slave.
